When I try to remember the good times, i often smile at the silliest of things, but it makes me feel warm inside.I remember the sundays we had with mum,we would help her do all the housework, and put the radio on, and sing as we did it, then we would help her make buns, rock cakes, belgian biscuit cake, anything we wanted, she didnt care how much mess we made, just as long as we laughed and enjoyed ourself.we would then cook rolls and then put tuna fish in them and sit infront of the fire! Bonfire night we would cook potatoes and sausages, and she would wrap us up all warm so we could go outside and watch the firworks. When Lisa and I were at school, she would ask us to invite all our friends home for lunch, and should would be more than happy to cook bacon sandwiches and loads of tea, she wanted the house full of noise, she would come and sit down with us and join in the conversation, she was brill! my favourite of all was when she would sit with us of an evening, just when we were due to go to bed, and have cuddles, and she would tell us a story about when she grew up , and the trouble she would get in, she had an amazing memory my mum she could tell you dates, times, who was where when it happened, even peoplein the village, she wouldremember all the families names, birthdays , who they were related to, she was like a phonebook. I keep thinking back to summer holidays, hiring the swimming pool, picnics, trips out, camping out with friends in a tent, easter, christmas, birthdays Thank you so much mum for all you gave me,i wish i could tell you in person how much i appreciated you and how much i love you, and more than anything, thank you for the wonderful life you gave me!!!! xxxxx
